Real Betis has been placed in Group 4 for the Copa del Rey first-round draw, which will be held on Monday 5 October at 1pm. The RFEF distributed 112 participating teams across four groups based on geographic proximity and league category. Betis could face one of four possible opponents: CDA Navalcarnero, RC Recreativo de Huelva, the winner of Sporting Hortaleza v Atlético Unión Güímar, or the winner of UB Lebrijana v Ceuta 6 de Junio. The tie will be a single match played at the lower-category team's ground on 27, 28 or 29 October.
