Eaves will be feared in League Two - Ainsworth

Experienced striker Tom Eaves, 34, has re-signed for Gillingham after scoring 10 goals for Northampton last season.

Gillingham boss Gareth Ainsworth confirmed that striker Tom Eaves has re-signed for the club this week. The 34-year-old previously had a successful spell at Gillingham, scoring 40 goals over two seasons before leaving for Hull City in 2019. He scored 10 goals for Northampton in League One last season. Ainsworth praised Eaves' physical presence and goal-scoring ability, saying he will be feared in League Two, though he is not yet fully match fit ahead of Saturday's game against Newport County.
