Koski injured with Finland, creating a problem for Alavés before hosting Atleti

Alavés defender Koski suffered a right quadriceps muscle injury with Finland and returns early; recovery timeline to be determined after medical tests.

Alavés centre-back Ville Koski has returned early from international duty with Finland due to a right quadriceps muscle injury. The club confirmed the injury but will not determine the recovery timeline until Koski undergoes medical tests upon his return to Vitoria. Koski has been a key player for manager Quique Sánchez Flores, starting all seven league matches so far. His absence would be a significant blow ahead of Alavés' home match against Atlético Madrid on Saturday, 10 October at 16:15.
