"He has what it takes" – Player backed as Liverpool offer tabled and Arsenal hover

Liverpool have tabled an offer for Mexican teenager Gilberto Mora, 17, with Arsenal also interested; a deal is progressing quickly.

Liverpool have moved ahead of Arsenal in the race for Mexican prospect Gilberto Mora, 17, by tabling an offer through the player's agent. The deal is reportedly progressing quickly, though no fee has been disclosed. Wolves striker Raúl Jiménez, Mora's international teammate, believes he has the quality to play at the top level but suggested a move to Germany or Spain might be a better stepping stone than jumping straight to the Premier League.
