International break halts Diomande's momentum

Diomande was building momentum before the international break but must rediscover his form upon return to avoid early doubts at the Bernabéu.

Yan Diomande, signed by Real Madrid for €146m, had been showing improvement in his performances and defensive commitment before the international break interrupted his progress. The Ivorian winger accumulated 209 minutes across three matches for Côte d'Ivoire against Cameroon, Somalia and Ghana. He now faces the challenge of regaining his rhythm when he returns to the club to maintain his place in Carlo Ancelotti's plans and justify his significant transfer fee.
