Crystal Palace keeping close tabs on Brazilian international – Scouting staff in Rio

Palace scouts watched Botafogo midfielder Danilo Santos in Rio on Wednesday as they step up their pursuit ahead of January.

Crystal Palace sent head scout Alessandro Brito to watch Botafogo midfielder Danilo Santos in a 2-1 home defeat to Vasco da Gama on Wednesday night in Rio de Janeiro. The 24-year-old Brazilian international remains a January transfer target for Palace, who have been tracking him for some time. Danilo completed 78% of his passes and won five of six duels in a strong defensive display, and has scored nine goals in 22 league appearances for Botafogo this season.
