Man United signing wanted to quit after one day – I knew he shouldn't have left Arsenal

Jack Wilshere says Alexis Sanchez should never have left Arsenal for Manchester United, citing lack of freedom under José Mourinho.

Jack Wilshere, now Luton manager, reflected on Alexis Sanchez's failed move to Manchester United in 2018, saying the Chilean winger should have stayed at Arsenal. Speaking on the Stick to Football podcast, Wilshere suggested Sanchez lacked the creative freedom at Old Trafford that he enjoyed under Arsenal's system, where his dribbling and match-winning ability were encouraged. Sanchez managed only five goals in 45 games across two seasons before being loaned to Inter Milan in 2019, eventually joining the Italian club permanently.
