Everton have identified Bayer Leverkusen's Christian Kofane as a January transfer target, sources told Football Insider. The 20-year-old Cameroon international has been on the Toffees' radar since summer, but Leverkusen blocked his exit then. With Thierno Barry as their only senior striker and other targets missed, Everton are accelerating plans to move for Kofane if Leverkusen make him available in the new year. If a mid-season deal doesn't materialise, the club will revisit their interest in summer.
