Haise 'lost his temper': how Rennes coach shook up his dressing room at half-time against Auxerre

Rennes beat Auxerre 4-1 to move into the top three; manager Haise admitted he had to give a stern half-time talk after a poor first-half display.

Stade Rennais defeated Auxerre 4-1 on Sunday in Ligue 1's sixth round, moving into the podium positions. Despite the convincing scoreline, the first half was unconvincing, prompting manager Franck Haise to deliver a forceful half-time team talk. Haise acknowledged he rarely needs to raise his voice so sharply but felt it was necessary to shake up his players. Rennes responded with a much-improved second half, with goals from Adrien Thomasson and a brace from Boulaye Dia sealing the victory.
