Consequences of Skhiri's absence for Cologne's midfield

Cologne midfielder Ellyes Skhiri faces a lengthy absence; the club's midfield will rely heavily on a key partnership to fill the void.

Cologne's midfielder Ellyes Skhiri has suffered an injury that will sideline him for an extended period, the club confirmed following their derby victory on Sunday. Skhiri is a cornerstone of Cologne's midfield, and his absence will place significant demands on the team's remaining options, particularly a key midfield duo who will need to step up to compensate for his loss.
