PSG invested heavily in the summer but are still relying on the A team

PSG rested stars including Dembélé and Mendes against Le Mans despite €150m summer spending, signalling Champions League focus over Ligue 1.

Luis Enrique rotated PSG's squad heavily in their win over newly-promoted Le Mans on Saturday, resting key players like Ousmane Dembélé and Nuno Mendes mid-October. Despite investing over €150m in the summer transfer window, PSG's new signings are designed for squad rotation rather than challenging the established hierarchy. The article suggests PSG's priorities lie firmly with the Champions League, with Ligue 1 treated as secondary despite their domestic dominance.
