Manchester United dealt double injury blow as Michael Carrick reveals latest
Summarised by MatchPal
Shaw and Mainoo ruled out for Tuesday's Champions League trip to Atlético Madrid after picking up issues in the weekend game.
Manchester United manager Michael Carrick confirmed that Luke Shaw and Kobbie Mainoo will miss the Champions League away fixture at Atlético Madrid on Tuesday after both sustained injuries in the weekend Premier League match. The absences create a defensive headache, particularly at left-back, with primary replacement Patrick Dorgu also sidelined by a hamstring injury from international duty. Noussair Mazraoui is an injury doubt after returning from Morocco's camp with a knock, leaving Diogo Dalot as the likely option to cover the position.
