'Amazon style' return to Newcastle United increasingly likely – Icarus comparison floated

Juventus reportedly ready to cut short Woltemade's loan and return him to Newcastle mid-season after a poor start in Serie A.

Nick Woltemade has struggled since joining Juventus on loan from Newcastle, failing to start in Serie A and drawing comparisons to Douglas Luiz's difficult early spell. TuttoSport reports Juventus have already given up on the German striker, viewing him as a misfit for manager Luciano Spalletti's system. The club plans to sign a new striker in January and is open to returning Woltemade to Newcastle mid-season, with the move described as 'Amazon style' — a quick reversal after an initial commitment.
