Sources: Why Liverpool want to sign Pierre Kalulu

Liverpool tracking Juventus defender Pierre Kalulu as a potential January or summer signing to address defensive needs.

Liverpool are monitoring Juventus defender Pierre Kalulu ahead of the January transfer window and beyond, according to sources. The 26-year-old French defender can play fullback or centre-back, with right-back identified as a priority position for the Reds. Liverpool's defence faces uncertainty with Virgil van Dijk in the final year of his contract and other players underperforming, prompting the club to assess reinforcement options.
