Rao's emotional message to young diabetics: "Never stop dreaming"

Pisa winger Rao, who has lived with type 1 diabetes since age nine, received a plaque from the Young Diabetics Association and shared an inspirational message urging young patients never to stop dreaming.

Emanuele Rao, Pisa's winger on loan from Napoli, met representatives of the Young Diabetics Association (AGD) at the Cetilar Arena before Pisa's 3-1 victory over Cremonese in Serie B. The AGD presented him with a plaque in recognition of his role as an inspiration to children living with type 1 diabetes, which Rao has managed since age nine. In a heartfelt Instagram post, Rao told young patients: "Don't let diabetes make you think you're less than others" and urged them to pursue their dreams, describing his daily battle against the disease as a second match he fights every day.
