Another injury blow for Málaga

Joaquín Muñoz ruled out with right soleus muscle injury; expected to miss several weeks as Málaga struggles at the bottom of La Liga.

Málaga confirmed on Wednesday that midfielder Joaquín Muñoz suffered a right soleus muscle strain during training and will miss several weeks. The injury adds to the club's mounting problems as they sit bottom of La Liga without a win since their return to the top flight. Manager Juanfran Funes is already without Juan Cruz, Lobete, Murillo and Ochoa, and now faces further squad depth issues, particularly on the wings.
