Newcastle to 'consider' Joe Willock January sale as 'concern' emerges

Newcastle open to selling Willock in January rather than lose him free next summer; Besiktas preparing fresh bid.

Joe Willock's contract at Newcastle expires at the end of the season with no agreement on renewal in sight. The 27-year-old midfielder is out of contract and the club are reluctant to let him leave on a free transfer. Besiktas, who came close to signing him last summer, are preparing to move back in for him this winter. Newcastle will consider any offers that arrive, with manager Matthias Jaissle a fan but unable to agree terms with the player.
