Barcelona confirmed for first Women's Club World Cup in 2028

Barcelona Women qualified for the inaugural FIFA Club World Cup in January 2028 as Champions League winners; 16 teams will compete in the US.

Barcelona Women have secured their place in the first-ever FIFA Women's Club World Cup, taking place in the United States from January 5–30, 2028. The competition will be held every four years and will feature 16 teams representing the six continental confederations. Barcelona qualified as reigning Champions League winners. Other confirmed participants include Arsenal, Club América, Gotham FC, Naegohyang Women's FC, Corinthians, and Wuhan Jiangda. Before the Club World Cup, Barcelona will compete in the FIFA Club Champions Cup in January 2027.
