"Best city in Europe" – Leeds United loanee is loving life

Bornauw is settling well at Hamburg on loan from Leeds, praising the city and getting regular playing time in the Bundesliga.

Sebastiaan Bornauw, on loan at Hamburg SV from Leeds United, has spoken positively about his move to Germany. The centre-back struggled for minutes at Leeds after joining from Wolfsburg in July 2025, but has found more regular football in the Bundesliga. He told Bild that Hamburg is "probably the best city in Europe to live in" and fought hard to secure the loan move, having previously spent four years at Wolfsburg and regularly visiting the city.
