Kubo strings together consecutive starts two months later

Kubo starts consecutive matches for Real Sociedad after two months out of favour, returning to the manager's plans following a strong performance against Málaga.

Take Kubo earned consecutive starts for Real Sociedad after a two-month spell on the periphery of manager Pellegrino Matarazzo's plans. The Japanese winger last strung together back-to-back starts in mid-August against Betis and Real Madrid, but his form and fitness deteriorated through September. A turning point came at Málaga in the Europa League, where Kubo scored and assisted in a convincing display. Matarazzo rewarded him with another start against Lillestrom, though he was substituted in the 58th minute to manage his physical load.
