Monaco: Abline, Balogun, Fati… Behind Brunner, competition rages to form the attack

With Paris Brunner back from suspension, Monaco manager Filipe Luis has his full attacking arsenal available for the first time this season ahead of Sunday's match against Lille.

Paris Brunner's return from a two-match suspension gives Monaco manager Filipe Luis a full complement of attacking options for the first time this season. The 20-year-old German forward has been exceptional since arriving, scoring eight goals in nine appearances and helping Monaco win eight of nine matches when he plays. His absence during the suspension saw Monaco lose to Lorient and draw with Toulouse. Brunner has acknowledged his need to channel his sometimes reckless attitude after receiving a ban for an excessive celebration at Strasbourg, but continues to impress teammates with his finishing ability.
