Craig Halkett can mend broken Hearts backline and I know unseen side of his game that Wouter Vrancken will love

Halkett expected to return after New Year from ruptured Achilles; Hearts missing his defensive leadership during injury crisis.

Craig Halkett suffered a ruptured Achilles in Hearts' final games of last season and remains sidelined as the club struggles defensively under manager Wouter Vrancken. Former teammate Conor Washington praised Halkett's calm presence and leadership, noting his absence has been keenly felt with Hearts keeping only three clean sheets all season. Halkett is expected to be fit again after the New Year and could provide the stability the backline desperately needs.
