Bajcetic ends 529-day injury nightmare

Midfielder Bajcetic returns to action after 529 days out with injury, set to play final 10-15 minutes for Fortuna Vigo against Girona.

Stefan Bajcetic has been recalled to Fortuna Vigo's squad after 529 days without playing, dating back to May 13, 2025, when he suffered a muscle injury while on loan at Las Palmas. The former Liverpool midfielder, who joined Vigo on loan in the final days of the transfer window, is expected to make his return in the closing stages of today's match at Montilivi. Manager Fredi Álvarez plans to give him 10-15 minutes as he works his way back to full fitness after an extended absence.
