Jérôme Rothen criticises Lille manager Davide Ancelotti's credentials, suggesting he only has the job because he is Carlo Ancelotti's son, after three Champions League defeats.

Following Lille's 2-4 defeat to Galatasaray in the Champions League, former PSG midfielder Jérôme Rothen has questioned Davide Ancelotti's suitability as Lille manager. Rothen argues that the 37-year-old, who previously served as assistant to his father Carlo at Bayern, Naples, Everton, Real Madrid and Brazil, and managed Botafogo, only secured the Lille job because of his family connection. Rothen contends that Ancelotti lacks the credentials to manage a Champions League club and that Lille should be competing at the top of Ligue 1.
