Thuram takes dig at referees: "They think I'm diving..."

Thuram scored and won a penalty in Inter's 2-1 comeback win over Fiorentina, then sarcastically defended himself against accusations of simulation.

Marcus Thuram was decisive once again as Inter came from behind to beat Fiorentina 2-1, keeping the Nerazzurri level on points with Lazio at the top of Serie A. The Inter forward scored the equaliser and then drew the penalty that Zielinski converted for the winner.

Commented on the penalty decision, Thuram responded with irony about repeated accusations of diving: "It's strange because every time the referee thinks I've simulated. I got a yellow at Bologna and they said it was a penalty. Today again, the error can happen, I just have to keep pressing the opponent, then they'll whistle the penalty like happened today." The comments suggest frustration at how his contact with defenders is frequently scrutinised by officials.
