Mignani is Catanzaro's new manager: it's official

Mignani signs a contract through June 2028 after Gorgone's sacking following a 6-1 home defeat to Ascoli.

Michele Mignani has been appointed Catanzaro manager on a contract running until 30 June 2028. The Calabrian club dismissed Giorgio Gorgone after a heavy 6-1 home loss to Ascoli left the team bottom of the table with just four points. Mignani's backroom staff includes assistant Simone Vergassola and technical collaborators Emanuele Insalata and Davide Campofranco.

Mignani most recently managed Cesena, where he guided them to seventh place in Serie B with 53 points and the play-offs last season, though they were eliminated in the first round by Catanzaro. He was sacked by Cesena in March 2026 when the club sat eighth following a run of poor results.
