Pulisic and Modrić show their class: Amorim relies on them to elevate Milan

Pulisic and Modrić were decisive in Milan's win at Udinese, with Amorim relying on both to drive the team's attacking play.

AC Milan's victory at Udinese showcased the quality of Christian Pulisic and Luka Modrić, two players Ruben Amorim considers essential to his system. Pulisic scored his second goal of the season with a composed left-foot control before finishing with his right, continuing his impressive form since moving to a central attacking midfield role under Amorim's hybrid 4-2-3-1 setup. The American has thrived in this position, able to move freely across the pitch and link play between midfield and attack.

Modrić provided the assist and demonstrated his class throughout, including a 50-metre recovery run in the 85th minute. Amorim is carefully managing the Croatian midfielder's workload, rotating him to ensure he plays the most important matches at full fitness. With key players like Rabiot, Gila and Diego Moreira unavailable, the manager has entrusted the spine of his emergency lineup to these two experienced performers, and both delivered when it mattered.
