Newcastle United have buy and loan back plan for January – 2 ways to sign fullback

Newcastle scout watched Kraków's 20-year-old left-back Krzyżanowski in October; club open to loan-back deal or permanent sale in January.

Wisła Kraków's Jakub Krzyżanowski has emerged as a transfer target for Newcastle United. The 20-year-old Polish left-back has made 67 appearances for his academy club, including 12 this season, and has played every minute in the league so far.

Newcastle sent a scout to watch Krzyżanowski live against Raków Częstochowa on October 24th. Local Polish media report that Wisła Kraków would "gladly reach an agreement" with Newcastle in the January window, with the option for the fullback to remain on loan at the Polish club until the end of the season. Alternatively, Newcastle could sign him permanently by paying a higher fee, though no price has been disclosed.

Krzyżanowski is not alone on Newcastle's radar — other European clubs have also shown interest following his performances. Newcastle manager Matthias Jaissle currently has only Lewis Hall as a recognised left-back in his squad, making the position a priority. The club previously targeted Racing Santander's Jorge Salinas and Club Brugge's Joaquin Seys.
