Miguel Quintana highlights two major La Liga disappointments: 'Everyone is far from their prime'

La Pizarra's weekly ratings highlight Real Madrid and Getafe as the standout underperformers in La Liga this weekend.

Miguel Quintana and his La Pizarra panel on Radio MARCA reviewed the weekend's La Liga action, distributing grades to teams and players. Real Madrid drew particular criticism, with Quintana noting that key players like Carvajal are performing well below their usual level. The defence struggled especially against Athletic Bilbao's Williams brothers, and a lack of intensity in set-piece defending was evident. Getafe also came under fire for their poor performance, while Valencia under new manager Javier Aguirre managed only two points from nine in his opening matches. Espanyol continues to struggle despite competitive moments, and Alavés has seen their promising start fade with recent draws and defeats. On the positive side, Sevilla impressed with their ambition and attacking intent even when ahead, while Real Sociedad's four consecutive wins showcase their current form.
