Kane opens up on whether he might return to the Premier League after winning Ballon d'Or

Kane rules out Premier League return to chase Shearer's record, saying he is happy at Bayern Munich and focused on winning the Champions League and a major trophy with England.

Harry Kane has dismissed speculation about returning to the Premier League to break Alan Shearer's all-time goalscoring record of 260 goals. Kane, who left Tottenham three years ago with 213 Premier League goals, said he has no plans to come back to England and is instead focused on his ambitions with Bayern Munich and the England national team.

The Bayern Munich striker, who won the Ballon d'Or on Monday evening, said: "Not at the moment, not right now. I'm loving life in Munich. Bayern are such a great club." At 33, Kane remains determined to play at the highest level into his late 30s, with his primary goal being to win a major trophy with England after several near misses over the past eight years.

Kane also revealed that Bayern manager Vincent Kompany, who is currently being treated in hospital for a viral infection, phoned him on the morning of the Ballon d'Or ceremony to wish him well. Kane said he looks forward to returning to Munich to celebrate the award with his teammates and staff.
