Barcelona tracking another left-sided centre-back

Barcelona tracking Bosnian left-back Tarek Muharemovic at Leeds United, who cost £37m last summer; Inter Milan, Liverpool and Bayern also monitoring.

Barcelona are monitoring the performance of Leeds United defender Tarek Muharemovic, according to reports from England. The 23-year-old Bosnian left-back, who joined Leeds for €37 million last summer, has impressed in the Championship with two assists and a goal in the EFL Cup. Standing 1.92m tall, Muharemovic has played all ten league matches this season and caught the attention of several top European clubs.

Beyond Barcelona, Inter Milan, Liverpool and Bayern Munich are also tracking Muharemovic, with the Italian side reportedly the most interested. Inter previously scouted him during the summer transfer window when considering alternatives to Alessandro Bastoni. However, Leeds have no intention of selling after just three months, and his valuation has already risen to potentially exceed €70 million — nearly double their summer investment.

Barcelona's interest comes as they seek defensive reinforcements following injuries to their backline. Manager Hansi Flick's side have also been linked with Stuttgart's Finn Jeltsch, though any move for Muharemovic would likely target summer 2027.
