Rangers given new incentive to seal Fares Ghedjemis deal

Ghedjemis impressed in Serie A with three assists against Atalanta; Rangers rejected in August but his agent says interest from major European clubs persists.

Fares Ghedjemis has caught Rangers' attention again after a standout performance for Frosinone in Serie A. The 24-year-old winger registered three assists in a 4-4 draw with Atalanta, creating seven chances and taking six shots while maintaining 88 per cent pass accuracy. Rangers had bid £8 million for Ghedjemis in August, but Frosinone rejected the offer and convinced him to stay. He has since signed a new contract with the Italian club to protect his value. His agent, Fabrizio Ferrari, told Italian media that multiple major European clubs remain interested in the Algerian, with people continuing to call about his services. Rangers manager Derek McInnes is seeking more consistency in attack as the club competes with Celtic for the Scottish Premiership title, and Ghedjemis could be an ideal addition when a transfer window opens.
