Barcelona fined for object throwing during Clásico

Barcelona fined €602 for objects thrown from stands during Clásico; separate investigation opened into flag pole incident involving Camavinga.

Barcelona has been sanctioned by the Disciplinary Committee for a minor infraction following incidents during the Clásico against Real Madrid on Sunday. During the 87th minute, after Mbappé's second goal, a water bottle and a soft drink can were thrown from the Gol Nord section of the stadium. Neither object struck any player, but referee Juan Martínez Munuera activated phase 1 of the object-throwing protocol and delayed the match restart until a public address announcement was made.

The Disciplinary Committee imposed a fine of up to €602 under article 117 of the Disciplinary Code for minor disruption of match order. The actual fine amount will depend on graduation criteria; if the mid-range penalty applies, it would be €301.

Separately, an investigation has been opened into an additional incident in which several supporters allegedly struck Real Madrid defender Camavinga on the head with flag poles during the same goal celebration. LaLiga reported the incident and it will be examined in a separate disciplinary proceeding.
