Raphinha: expectation and concern over Brazil squad announcement

Barcelona concerned Raphinha may be called up for Brazil's friendlies in Singapore after returning early injured from the previous international break.

Carlo Ancelotti will announce Brazil's squad today for two friendlies in Singapore during the next international break. Barcelona are anxious about Raphinha's inclusion, particularly given his recent injury history.

Raphinha returned early from the previous international window with a right thigh muscle edema after playing against Australia, missing Barcelona's matches against Getafe and Galatasaray. He eventually returned to action in the final minutes against Betis before starting against PSG and Real Madrid.

The club views the long journey to Singapore as unnecessary risk for friendly matches, especially as Raphinha has only recently recovered. Last season, four injuries disrupted his progress, including a right hamstring injury sustained during a Brazil friendly in late March when Barcelona were fighting for their Champions League future.
