Romeu proud of his squad, responds to Madrid manager

Barcelona Women thrashed Köge 8-0 to extend their Champions League lead; Romeu praised the collective performance and responded to Real Madrid's manager.

Barcelona Women defeated Danish side Köge 8-0 to maintain their lead in the UEFA Women's Champions League, now three points clear of Lyon, Arsenal and Chelsea. Manager Pere Romeu praised his players' collective display, highlighting that seven different goalscorers demonstrated the team's philosophy of playing as a unit rather than relying on individual brilliance.

Romeu acknowledged the absence of injured defender Irene Paredes, who will miss three weeks, but expressed confidence in replacements Renee van Asten and Aïcha Camara. He also responded briefly to Real Madrid manager Pau Quesada's claim that Madrid would beat Barcelona this season, saying the teams would have opportunities to settle it during the campaign. Barcelona's only previous meeting this season ended in a dominant 7-0 victory for the Catalans in the Liga F on 4 October.
