De Laurentiis remembers Maradona with touching message: "He will always be loved"

De Laurentiis posted a tribute to Maradona on what would have been his 66th birthday, calling him an eternal myth in Naples' hearts.

On what would have been Diego Maradona's 66th birthday, Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis posted a heartfelt message on social media honouring the Argentine legend. Without naming Maradona directly, De Laurentiis wrote: "Today was born the redemption of a Naples that was despised and mistreated. A new genesis after Partenope. Now become myth, he will continue to be loved forever." The tribute comes as Napoli, under Allegri, prepares for a crucial match against Juventus, one of the rivals Maradona famously knew how to hurt on the pitch. Maradona's memory remains woven into Naples' identity through murals across the city and the hearts of its supporters.
