Wagner's warning after Elversberg win: Young internationals being put through the wringer

Wagner criticised the congested fixture schedule after SV Elversberg's 3-0 home win over Mainz, warning young internationals are being overworked.

SV Elversberg opened matchday 8 with a commanding 3-0 home victory against 1. FSV Mainz 05. Manager Vincent Wagner was pleased with the result but used the occasion to voice concerns about the packed calendar facing his young international players, saying they are being put through the wringer by the demands of club and country football.
