Ballack: Bayern conflating Karl's public appearance with sporting development

Ballack defends Karl against Bayern criticism, saying the club is conflating public appearance with sporting performance when the defender's form is improving.

Lennart Karl's agent Michael Ballack has hit back at FC Bayern's recent criticism of the defender, drawing a distinction between Karl's public conduct and his on-pitch performances. Ballack told DAZN that while Uli Hoeneß is entitled to criticise Karl's public appearance, the club is unfairly making him a target. He also questioned the timing and logic of sporting director Max Eberl's recent comments about Karl going through a difficult spell with missteps, arguing that Karl's performances are actually on the rise again. Ballack suggested the criticism is incomprehensible given the context of Karl's improving form.
