Mijnans finally in his place at PSV: 'I underestimated it a bit'

Mijnans scored and assisted in PSV's 7-0 rout of Willem II, saying he has now settled at the club after a slow start following his summer move from AZ.

Sven Mijnans has found his feet at PSV after an initially difficult adjustment period. The midfielder contributed a goal and an assist in PSV's dominant 7-0 victory over Willem II on Saturday evening, and spoke positively about his progress since arriving from AZ in the summer.

Mijnans acknowledged that settling in took longer than expected. "In the beginning it went a bit slower, I still had to find my place," he said. "That was also related to moving house and other things. I wasn't at my level then and we had good conversations about it."

However, he believes he has now turned a corner. "For a number of weeks now, maybe two months, I feel good in my skin and I'm in my place at PSV. I may have underestimated it a bit initially. But now everything is under control, it's stable." PSV's next challenge is a Champions League home match against Club Brugge, which Mijnans is eager to face.
