Bayern: Saibari out several months, Gnabry also injured

Saibari undergoes surgery for syndesmosis ligament tear; Gnabry sidelined with hamstring injury. Both out for Champions League trip to Atlético on Tuesday.

Bayern Munich suffered a triple injury blow in Saturday's 2-2 Klassiker draw with Borussia Dortmund. Ismael Saibari was forced off in the 29th minute with a right ankle injury and underwent successful surgery for a syndesmosis ligament tear on Sunday. The club confirmed he will be unavailable for the immediate future, with German media reporting he faces at least three months out.

Serge Gnabry departed in the 31st minute with a left hamstring muscle injury and is also sidelined, with both players ruled out of Tuesday's Champions League trip to Atlético Madrid. Michael Olise left the pitch in the 84th minute holding his right knee but Bayern did not issue a statement on his condition, though he was seen limping from the stadium.

The injuries compound Bayern's existing problems, with Jamal Musiala and Luis Diaz already recovering from muscle tears sustained in late September and against Arsenal respectively.
