Bromley told home truths after Wigan loss - Webster

Interim manager Webster criticized his side's defending after Bromley slipped to the foot of League One following a 3-2 loss at Wigan.

Bromley's interim manager Byron Webster admitted some "home truths" were given to his players after the 3-2 defeat at Wigan Athletic on Saturday. The result saw Wigan move above the Ravens, who slipped to the foot of the League One table.

Webster, who took charge after Andy Woodman's sacking, was particularly unhappy with the team's defending. "It's very poor goals we're giving away at the minute," he told BBC Radio London. He acknowledged the mood is hurting but stressed the need for character: "The boys have been in this situation before. It's ruthless, football, you either sink or you swim, and that's the characters we need, and we have, in there."

Bromley face Rotherham United in the FA Cup first round on Saturday. Despite Rotherham being equally out of form in League Two, Webster emphasized the importance of treating every match the same way, regardless of competition.
