Chust: "Everyone is in shock and we're not giving it the importance it truly deserves"

Elche defender Chust says the squad is in shock over the death of Jesús de Miguel and urged reflection on life's importance.

Elche defender Víctor Chust addressed the death of Jesús de Miguel in a press conference on Wednesday, saying the tragedy prompts reflection on life and appreciating small moments. Chust, who shared the pitch with de Miguel, extended condolences to the family on behalf of himself and his teammates, describing the squad as deeply impacted by the loss.

Chust acknowledged the shock across the team and suggested the incident deserves greater recognition of its true significance. He stopped short of calling for the suspension of the upcoming matchday, saying that if the decision is made to postpone, the team will accept it, though he felt doing so might help people better understand the weight of what has happened.
