Mastantuono: "Real Madrid treated me incredibly"

Mastantuono praised Real Madrid's treatment during his time there and highlighted Jude Bellingham as his favourite player at the club.

Franco Mastantuono, on loan at Fiorentina from Real Madrid, spoke warmly about his experience at the Spanish club in an interview on Italian DAZN programme My Skills. The Argentine said the club and his teammates treated him "incredibly" and "impressively".

When asked about Real Madrid's players, Mastantuono singled out Jude Bellingham as his favourite, though he also praised Vinícius, Mbappé, Valverde, Brahim, Diomandé and Espí, calling the squad "a great team". He also reflected on sharing a dressing room with Lionel Messi during his time with Argentina, describing it as "the maximum" for any player and calling Messi's recent retirement "very sad".

Mastantuono arrived at Fiorentina this summer on a season-long loan and has already made an impact, scoring in two of the club's three wins so far. He also spoke positively about Serie A, comparing it to Argentine football for its physical intensity while noting it differs from La Liga in style and possession-based play.
