Ferencváros ultras display Mussolini shirts and make fascist salutes in Milan

Ferencváros ultras displayed Mussolini imagery and made fascist salutes in Milan's Duomo square ahead of Thursday's Europa League match against AC Milan.

Dozens of Ferencváros ultras from the 'Green Monsters' group gathered in Milan's Duomo square on Thursday, hours before the club's Europa League fixture against AC Milan. The supporters displayed shirts bearing the image of Italian dictator Benito Mussolini, unfurled far-right banners including one reading "We have to defend Europe!" in English, and performed Roman salutes. Dressed predominantly in black with some wearing green scarves, the group chanted slogans, jumped and lit flares in the square. The display also included anti-LGBTQ+ symbols and a banner supporting a local Milan priest who had previously rejected the ultras' actions during October disturbances in the city.
