Jorge Mendes informs Manchester United, Tottenham and Aston Villa terms for January deal

Barcelona left-back Balde's agent Mendes is offering him to five Premier League clubs; Barcelona want €40m but Mendes prefers a loan with option to buy.

Alejandro Balde is set to leave Barcelona in January after failing to establish himself under Hansi Flick. The 23-year-old left-back has played just 124 minutes across five matches this season and sits behind João Cancelo and Xavi Espart in the pecking order.

Balde's agent Jorge Mendes has begun canvassing Premier League clubs on his behalf. Manchester United, Liverpool, Aston Villa, Manchester City and Tottenham Hotspur are all aware of the available terms. Barcelona are seeking €40m for a permanent deal, but Mendes is pushing for a loan with a buying option—potentially convertible to an obligation—as more viable.

Balde's preference is the Premier League, and Mendes will analyse options with his client in December ahead of a January move. Roma and Juventus have also made contact, but financial constraints make those deals complicated. No club has yet made a final decision, with further advances dependent on departures.
