Real Madrid's plan to prepare for JJ Gabriel's arrival at 16

The 16-year-old English prospect has arrived in Madrid and will join Real Madrid Castilla, with Manchester United to receive approximately €420,000.

JJ Gabriel, a 16-year-old English striker regarded as one of the biggest talents of his generation, has arrived in Madrid to join Real Madrid Castilla, though the move is not yet fully completed. Still under contract with Manchester United, Gabriel is currently training alone twice daily—once with a personal coach on the pitch in the morning and once in the gym in the afternoon—while his new agent Ali Barat finalises his contract and arranges accommodation for his family.

Gabriel, who holds an Irish passport, will benefit from an exception allowing European footballers aged 16–18 to be transferred internationally. The official registration is expected to take place during the winter transfer window. Manchester United will receive approximately €420,000 for the prospect, despite having offered him a contract extension and a box at Old Trafford to keep him at the club.
