We will learn from mistakes made - Hallgrimsson

Hallgrimsson reflects on the chaotic build-up to Sunday's Israel match and says both he and the FAI will learn from mistakes made during the controversy.

Republic of Ireland manager Heimir Hallgrimsson addressed the fallout from Sunday's 3-0 win over Israel and the turbulent build-up to the Nations League fixture, which saw goalkeeper Gavin Bazunu make himself unavailable and sparked protests from the 'Stop The Game' campaign over the Israel-Gaza war. The FAI faced criticism for their handling of the situation, with board members appearing before the Irish parliament's Sports Committee on Wednesday. Hallgrimsson said he and the association would reflect on the events and improve their approach going forward as they prepare to face Austria in Dublin tonight.
