Summarised by MatchPal
Evans backs Savage to succeed at Peterborough if appointed manager, saying the former Wales midfielder's enthusiasm impressed the club's hierarchy.
Steve Evans, Bristol Rovers manager and former Peterborough boss, has publicly backed Robbie Savage to make the managerial role work at Posh if appointed. Savage is reportedly leaving Forest Green for the position. Evans told the BBC's 72+ EFL podcast that Savage's enthusiasm stood out among five candidates and that his personality would complement chairman Darragh MacAnthony's style, despite concerns about potential clashes between strong-willed figures.
