Kilmarnock solve problem position as free agent with Premiership experience nears transfer

Welsh goalkeeper Richards joins Kilmarnock on a short-term deal until January as cover for injured Stryjek.

Kilmarnock have signed free agent Dave Richards on a short-term contract through January to address their goalkeeping shortage. The 32-year-old Welsh keeper, who left Dundee United in the summer, will provide competition and cover while Max Stryjek recovers from a knee injury expected to sideline him until well into the new year. Richards has previous Premiership experience with St Johnstone and Dundee United, and is expected to be available for Kilmarnock's trip to Rangers next Saturday.
