Important step for Diego Kochen

Barcelona goalkeeper Kochen made his USMNT debut against Peru and earned his first start in a 3-0 win over Mexico during the international break.

Diego Kochen, the 20-year-old Barcelona goalkeeper on loan at Danish side Lyngby, made his United States national team debut against Peru, playing 30 minutes. Days later, he started his first match for the USMNT in a 3-0 victory over Mexico at the AT&T Stadium in Dallas, keeping a clean sheet. Kochen expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to represent his country against quality opposition, and received congratulations from Barcelona teammates.
